However, this was not successful because Safe Mode disables the audio on the Mac apparently. I also tried to put it in Safe Mode (as recommended by a 'Senior Advisor' from Apple Support). I've also double checked and verified that my Safari version is up to date as well. I also checked the Privacy tab in Safari Settings to see if there was anything blocking it from working, but there wasn't many options in there to toy with. To make sure that the microphone settings are set to "Allow" ✅ I've checked Safari Preferences > Websites To make sure that the iMac is picking up sound. I've checked System Preferences > Sound > Input

so here's a list of some of the things I've tried. To stop your Android phone from listening to you, turn off 'OK Google,' the 'listening while driving' feature, and the Google search app's microphone. I've gone through a lot of stuff to try to check settings, etc. When clicking on it, I get a drop down that says "Websites using microphone" and shows the website that I'm on. The strange part is when I try to test my mic on Safari, it acts like it's working, it shows the red mic in the url bar, it's not muted, and it also shows up in my menu bar at the top right of my iMac. It seems the issue is only isolated to Safari. I also tested my mic with Siri and other software/apps on my iMac and the mic is working fine. I closed Safari and went into Chrome, and everything worked fine. The video came up working fine, the sound played fine, but it could not detect audio from my microphone. However, when launching the website it asked me if I wanted to "Allow" or "Deny", of course I chose to Allow.

I'm not sure when it started, but I attempted to do an online interview with my company today, and when attempting to do it using Safari as it was going through the audio/video checks it said that it could not detect my microphone.

So, I'm pretty much at a loss at this point, and I'm hoping that someone somewhere has had the same issue and might know how to fix it.
